Roasted Garlic French Onion Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 medium yellow onions, diced
- ½ cup cream cheese, cubed and room temperature
- 1/3 cup mayo
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Garlic Bulb
- A couple dashes of Bourbon Barrel Worcestershire Sauce
- Three Onion Seasoning, to taste
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Butter Infused Olive Oil
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On medium high heat, place a medium size pan onto burner. Once pan is heated, generously coat with our Butter Infused Olive Oil. When the oil is hot, add the diced yellow onions. While sauteing add salt and pepper to taste. Let the onions continue to cook.
Grab a bulb of garlic and cut the very top off all the cloves, just to expose the cloves, leaving the entire bulb intact. Take a piece of baking foil and place bulb in center. Generously coat with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Tightly wrap the bulb in baking foil. Place in preheated oven, on middle wire rack and bake for approximately 25 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
Once onions are sauteed, add some of the Three Onion Seasoning (about 2 teaspoons), our Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar, and a couple dashes of our Bourbon Barrel Worcestershire sauce. Once onions are a deeply caramelized color, remove from heat. Unwrap your garlic bulb and squeeze out the cloves. They should be soft and easy to remove. Finely chop and add to your onion mixture.
To assemble the dip, combine mayo, sour cream, and cream cheese. Stir by hand or with a mixer until smooth. Add more of the Three Onion Seasoning Blend – to taste about 2-3 teaspoons. Then add the garlic and onion mixture to the other ingredients and mix until well combined. Optional – add chopped parsley and chives. Mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes; Overnight is recommended. Serve chilled with chips and veggies! Enjoy!
